How it works

Claim a piece of the daily canvas.

OpenFrame is a shared canvas where each confirmed region becomes part of the live image and the permanent daily archive.

01

Choose your region

Pick a block on the canvas. Claimed and reserved areas are unavailable, so every contribution has its own space.

02

Create your drawing

Draw directly in the editor, then add your name and optional message or link. Your artwork is fitted to the exact region you selected.

03

Authorise payment

Checkout places a card authorisation first. OpenFrame captures payment only after the server has safely processed and confirmed your claim.

04

Appear on the canvas

After payment is captured and the claim is confirmed, your drawing appears on the public canvas. This usually takes a few seconds after checkout.

05

Join the archive

The frame closes at 9 pm AEST each day. A 1080×1080 snapshot is taken then, added to the archive, and posted to Instagram just after.

Before you claim

Can two people claim the same spot?

No. Regions are checked before checkout and kept unavailable while payment is being finalised.

What if checkout is closed?

The reservation expires automatically, and the region becomes available again.

What if something goes wrong after payment authorisation?

The payment flow is designed to prefer an uncaptured authorisation over charging someone whose claim was not processed.

Can I edit my region later?

No. OpenFrame has no accounts or login system. Once confirmed, a region is permanent and cannot be changed.

If you have an issue with a claim or payment, email openframehq@outlook.com.
