A daily collaborative canvas, built publicly on the internet.
The Idea
OpenFrame is a daily collaborative canvas built publicly on the internet.
Every contribution becomes part of a living image that evolves over time, shaped by creators, businesses, artists, founders, communities, and anyone who wants to leave their mark.
What people choose to put here is entirely their own. Together, those choices become a record of who was here and what they thought was worth saying.
Every night at 9 PM AEST, the current frame is captured permanently, archived as a snapshot of that moment in time, and posted to Instagram.
OpenFrame exists to bring back a feeling the internet used to have: more experimental, more personal, and more alive.
Not just something to consume. Something to participate in.
The Bootstrap Method
OpenFrame is being built independently, without venture capital or outside ownership.
Instead of raising money by selling part of the company, the project is funded publicly by the people who become part of it.
The goal is simple: build something ambitious while keeping it open, creative, and independent.
As OpenFrame grows, part of the project's proceeds will also be used to support independent builders and early-stage startups with no expectation of ownership, equity, or repayment. Simply helping more people create ambitious things publicly.
This is an experiment in collaborative creation, public building, and internet-supported independence.
Behind OpenFrame
Hey, I'm Josh.
I'm based in Brisbane, Australia, and I run a software company called Acouso focused on acoustic engineering software for engineers and architects. Everything I've built so far has been completely bootstrapped and independent.
I've always had a passion for experimentation, technology, and building things that positively reshape technical industries in unexpected ways.
Outside of my marriage to the software world, I spend most of my time mountain biking, watching movies, and thinking about how to improve my marriage to the software world.
Thanks for being part of OpenFrame.
